When you think of Washington D.C. what do you think of? Quiet empty streets?
Nah I didn’t think so. My guess is you just haven’t experienced it at the right times though! The times that are around the Midnight time frame are the best times to go out in D.C. and roam. At least for me, the streets are way less crowded and the monuments have an entirely new perspective, actually the entire area does.
You get to walk around and appreciate your surroundings, away from the daily “rat race” that is Washington D.C. It’s actually quite relaxing when you have the time and the ability to sit at monuments and just take it all in. I highly suggest doing this on your next trip to Washington, D.C.
