First stop for me this year on the outdoor circuit in Lucas Oil Pro Motocross is always High Point Raceway. Love going to this track, even as a kid. My father and I used to travel up to this track for the Nationals and so I’ve always enjoyed the venue.

I never have any media credentials for these events, which is fine. It allows me to experiment with different locations and angles than others. I’m not afraid of walking around the entire track and finding spots I like. I also get to avoid the “photographer pools” which I feel gives me even more different shots. It’s fun for me to find these spots and see what I can come up with, it’s challenging and part of the fun of the event.

This year they redesigned the entire track, which was a massive undertaking. Personally, I liked the new layout a lot. Had some new viewing points and you could actually see most of the track in a lot more places it seemed like. The racing was awesome and the season seems to be tightening up in both classes. One thing that is a given, this summer is going to be an exciting one in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Series.

Expected to have some rain at High Point but damn it was hot! Many riders including Austin Forkner came straight off the track to these little showers.
